Who is EAPSP?
Our membership includes psychotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, art/music/dance therapists, and pastoral counsellors. Self psychology is a theory based on psychoanalytic principles, however, psychoanalytic training is not a prerequisite for membership in EAPSP. We are interested in creating a community of members drawn from the mental health field and other diverse disciplines who are interested in a dialogue between their particular fields and the theory of self psychology. Our objectives include fostering a forum for the continuing education and clinical reflection of practitioners from a self-psychologically informed perspective.
